Stellar Surroundings
In the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles lies Mount Wilson Observatory, an astronomical observatory founded by astronomer George Hale in 1904. The site is home to a 60-inch and 100-inch telescope, plus 150-foot and 60-foot solar towers. It’s an intersection of wonderful things: astronomy, optics, architecture, and a mountaintop setting.
